What is Full Fibre?
A Full Fibre broadband network (like this one) is made up of entirely fibre-optic cable – giving you access to the speeds and reliability homes need today! Our network is built with the future in mind, delivering a dedicated fibre cable to every home for a true Full Fibre connection.

How is this network different?
Most UK homes are still connected to the old-fashioned internet network, designed for telephones. This means copper lines are used for part of your connection, drastically slowing down your broadband speeds and sharing them with your neighbours. This service is often sold as ‘fibre’ or ‘fibre-optic broadband’, when only providing a parti ally fibre connection (aka FTTC). Don’t be fooled!

Who is doing the work?
We’re working with third party contractors on the pavements and roads to bring the Full Fibre broadband network to your area on a street-by-street basis. The contractors will erect safety barriers and signage in the area, reinstate as they go and ensure all statutory requirements are met.
They aim to carry out the works with as little disruption as possible and will ensure regular site visits and inspections are carried out. We apologise on their behalf for any disruption over the next few weeks, as they complete the work that will allow Grain to bring Full Fibre broadband directly to you at market leading prices!

How long will it take?
Timescales may be different for each area, but let’s narrow it down. Enter your street name here to see the start and end dates of the permit on your street. Our aim is to complete a full installation, backfill and reinstatement between these dates, however there may be some occasions when works take longer due to issues beyond our control.
If your street is not listed, then we don’t yet have approval for a start date to begin work. Keep checking back, as this information is updated as and when the Local Authority grant new permits.
